A New Zealand timbers occasional table, the octagonal top inlaid with a starburst design enclosed within a diamond field with scalloped sides framed by quadrants of burr totara reserved on a field of figured kauri and rewarewa. Raised on four turned legs which splay at the foot and are united by a circular lower tier dished to accept a vase. This lower shelf with an affixed silver label engraved ‘Presented by J. Mowbray in Remembrance of 23 happy years spent in the Victoria League’. Some losses and distress to the tabletop. 53 x 72 cm
