A large Victorian figured spelter mantel clock, the classical figure seated with twill to her right hand and supporting a scroll detailed in relief 'L'histoire', beside her stands the clock with an octagonal case surmounted with a drape of roses, the circular enamelled dial with Roman numerals and floral swags, supported on a spreading rectangular stand, the whole on a long variegated marble plinth with gilt leaf details to the front and adjustable feet, the French movement striking on a bell with back plate engraved 'Societe Clusienne S.C.A.P.H.
