Large transitional Wakahuia, carved bowl supported by the outstretched arms and feet of two stylized figurative forms, each rendered with rauponga, triple h'h' and pakati notching, the lid carved with a bold and muscular tiki figure and decorated with strong, precisely carved triple h'h' and pakati notching which lock neatly into the base which is guarded by boldly carved tiki motifs with inlaid paua eyes. Length 45 cm. Width 28 cm. Depth 20 cm
