A rare large Shino-ware quatrefoil deep bowl, Edo period, the straight-sided bowl with cantered corners, delicately painted in underglaze iron, the inside with gentle grasses beneath a single concentric line, the exterior with drying fish nets and flocks of birds, all under a crackled buff-coloured glaze sitting unevenly at the rim, supported on four short loop feet, 17.8 cm x 11.5 cm.
