An unusual tortoiseshell Tonkotsu (tobacco pouch) and wooden cover, Meiji period, 19th century, very well decorated with three red-capped cranes, one on the cover, in gold, silver, black and red lacquer, the eyes inlaid, signed Gozan, en suite with a shell netsuke and a carved nut ojime.
