A silver mounted tortoiseshell canister. Cylindrical shape with a fitted lid. Mounted with filigree and embossed silver at the rim and foot, raised on squat circular bun feet and with a conforming finial. Silver rococo framed cartouche with monogram and dated 1898 fixed to the wall. Some faults. London 1898 by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. (William Gibson & John Lawrence Langman). Height 10 cm
