A Royal Doulton flambe vase by Harry Nixon. Ovoid shape, decorated with kingfishers perched and in flight on and above fruiting branches and reeds outlined in gilt, the background graduating from a dark tomato red at the rim, through mottled shades to a yellow ochre at the foot. Printed factory marks and Harry Nixon monogram painted beneath the foot, c. 1930's. Height 18.5 cm
