A most unusual fine quality Victorian period burr walnut combination teapoy, workbox and writing slope in the shape of a miniature Davenport. Of piano shape, the front legs ornately carved with fruiting vines and acanthus scrolls. Raised on squat bun feet. Inlaid with sections of marquetry floral groups and shells. Conforming inlays under the hinged lid, the top section incorporates the teapoy, the middle section a jewellery/workbox, the lowest drawer in the base contains the writing slope. 42 cm x 39 cm x 660.
