A late 19th century English bronze figure cast of Japanese lady, standing holding an umbrella and fan on a stepped base. Inscribed 'Japanese Lady'. Height 49 cm. Provenance: Ernest Mueller, Lancelot house, contents Sale, Bendigo 1949. Earnest Mueller was a wealthy Commission Agent and Stock Broker in the golden period of Bendigo, his daughter Edna was a concert artist and Dame Nellie Melba often sang at concerts in the Lancelot house music room.
