A good Victorian oak library table, the rounded rectangular top with two frieze drawers raised on boldly carved dual scrolling acanthus leaf decorated supports, united by a solid stretcher base, 94 x 65 x 126 cm. Provenance: The previous owners father purchased this table from the auction of the sale of the contents of Stowe in Buckinghamshire in 1928. According to a letter supplied to the present owner it was made by a London cabinet maker in new Bond Street and was part of a suite of furniture made for the Duke of Buckingham
