A Maori carved hardwood pouwhenua (long staff), the long tapered narrow blade with a circular squared off small hole complete with lashing and feather group, stylised band of two masks with paua eyes and lineal and notch carving, the dark hardwood with wavy grain. Length 158.5 cm.Being assessed for registration.
