A Chinese court necklace, late Qing Dynasty, 19th century, comprised of 108 seeds, each one finely carved with three monks; 30 pierced coral beads, 4 large pierced turquoise beads, one amethyst, one aquamarine and seed pearls; as well as three pierced jadeite pendants and three hanging strands of coral. Provenance: Grace Gow collection, purchased in Peking in the 1920s. Passed down to the current owner by descent.
