A Colonial beech folding deck chair, circa 1890, stamped S.W silver & Co, with original cane back and seat, brass manufacturers plate to reverse. Note: S.W Silver & Co. were well-known as prominent English outfitters of emigrant sea passengers to Australian and New Zealand and also published a fortnightly journal entitled 'The Colonies'
