A Chinese opium set, 19th and 20th century, comprising a silver mounted black lacquered wood opium pipe with striated green jade terminals to each end, a pottery octagonal stopper with incised marks of (jiangji, the name of the workshop), (simao, the name of the artist), and (dingzuo, custom-made), together with a scale and a complete set of nine cast bronze bird -shaped opium weights of graduated size.
