Royal Worcester, pot pourri rose jar, c1960 with embossed shoulders and circular foot, the pierced crown shaped cover gilded, painted by Edward Townsend with highland cattle in meadows, signed E. Townsend, factory mark to base, shape number 2048. Height 24 cm. Ted Townend took over, the highland cattle subject after, the death of Harry Stinton, and produced a small number of special pieces in the 1960s and early 1970s
