A Japanese ivory okimono Meiji period (1868-1912), signed, the carved and stained ivory figure group depicting a scene of daily life, with a father grasping a basket cover alongside his daughter who holds a small infant in her arms, whilst at their feet chickens scratch for food, all mounted on a single disc of ivory and included with a later circular carved timber stand, (some losses, cracks and restoration) signed plaque to base, 19.5 cm high (okimono).
