A George III sterling silver tureen and cover, makers mark Thomas Heming, London circa 1780 and included with the French Minerva mark, the low set octagonal dish with ribbed rim and with cover of corresponding shape decorated with a repousse pattern of fruit and flowers with a ribbed band terminating in a scalloped finial, hallmarked to base as stated, 852grs. total silver weight, 30 cm long.
