A fine Australian silver centrepiece by William Edwards (1870), marked kangaroo / W.E. / emu, Walsh & Sons, Melbourne, the circular base decorated with rocks and blackboys, three warring aboriginals, two kangaroos and an emu centred around a tree fern which is entwined with grapevine and grapes, the fern tree surmounted with an etched and foliated glass bowl, the whole presented on a turned blackwood base. Height 43 cm
