A 19th century.silk Embroidery of a Ship with Merchant Navy and Royal Navy Insignia. Possibly dating from the china opium Wars of 1857, where the Royal Navy was engaged. Worked in gold thread, vibrant floss silks and raised in some areas. 52 x 70 cm.
