A rare cache of Raffles Hotel silver plate, includes one large tazza, four small tazzas, eight finger bowls, two bonbon dishes, one mustard pot with two spoons, one small salt and one small perforated dish, many pieces with pierced borders, shaped rims and Raffles monogram. Provenance: This collection was given to our vendor in the 1970’s by the then manager of Raffles Hotel, Singapore, from a hoard of silver plate discovered behind a wall built to hide it from the invading Japanese in 1942.
