A 19th century Chinese silver gallery tray of rounded rectangular form, the straight sided gallery with a wide panel of figures in landscape incorporating a fence, various classical trees and animals, these panels framed by a complex pierced trellis, fine decorative rolled top rim, plain base, raised on four grotesque mask and paw feet (some later re-attached), punched character marks to base. Weight 990 gms, length 31.5 cm. Width 24 cm. Height 74. Provenance: Purchased by our vendor from the 'Thieves Market', Singapore, 1960’s.
