A rare Rene Lalique ‘Satyr’ carafe, with sepia staining to the handle modelled as the head of a satyr with elongated horns, the stopper moulded with fruits and leaves, clear ovoid body with original applied ‘Cusenier’ label, engraved to the base ‘R. Lalique, France pour Cusenier’. Height 24 cm, chip to top rim. Designed by Rene Lalique for the wine merchant Cusenier in 1923.
