A blue and white ovoid jar and cover, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period, either side decorated with a large panel depicting a maiden and attendants walking in a garden beside jardinieres of flowers, watched from behind a walled enclosure by other maidens and a small boy, with gate houses flying pennants, divided by panels of trailing plants, all between lappet and formal borders, the high domed cover with central medallion of precious objects within similar borders, artemisia leaf mark (2) 38.
