A Regency period Chinoiserie pedestal standing work table with box, traditional all-over gilded decoration on rich dark red/ brown/black ground of Chinese figures in landscape with buildings, boats, walkways, trees, etc., the octagonal box with a hinged lid enclosing fitted interior with some ivory implements housed in various compartments above the pleated fabric well, all on arched support to the their turned column and three-way base with lions paw feet.
