A Khmer stone carved Buddha with Naga represented as Buddha meditating in the Samadhi pose under the protection of Munchalinda, the serpent coiled body forms the throne for the Buddha while his seven head hood rises up behind and curves over, forming a protective canopy. Height 66 cm Purchased by our vendor as Bayon period, 12th century, Cambodian, raised on contemporary plinth.
