A c. 1926-1941 Japanese Shin-Gunto katana with regulation army style metal fittings (carved un-pierced gilt brass tsuba, brass fuchi kashira and habaki, steel menuki, steel 1938 pattern scabbard), inscription to tang reading No Shu Ju I Do Hide Toshi Saku Kore (made by Hide Toshi from No Shu), Sho army inspection stamp. Length 65.8 cm
