Meiji period (1868-1912), the rim foot with leaf border rising to a circular body decorated in iron red and gilt images of a phoenix amongst the clouds, the body set with gilt archaic dragon lug handles, the lid adorned with a gilded dog of Fo finial. Height 12 cm
