Australian Steiner colonial silver centrepiece with original base, probably circa 1870 of a kangaroo mounted on top of an emu egg, and below an aboriginal man and woman under entwined ferns. Maker Steiner, Adelaide, base hallmarked. Purchased Bonhams, London October 2005. Recently polished and restored with ad. Height 34 cm. (including base)
