A large Chinese polychrome enamel vase of early Republic period, ovoid form with two sculptured pronounced bat form handles, glazed red with gilt highlights, the body with four shaped panels decorated with a partridge, locusts, cricket, exotic birds and blossoms, signed, the ground of finely scrolling florals, lanterns etc., character mark to base. Height 36 cm.
