Full standing studio view of a company grade Union infantry officer, wearing a single breasted frockcoat, with medal or corps badge on left breast, sash, belt and buckle, pistol holster with the revolver butt showing, model 1850 foot officers sword on his left hip, his left hand holding the sword's pommel. His forage cap with bugle insignia, he has gauntlets on each hand. No back mark, Orange 2 cent stamp on back, very pleasing image. Military Manual.
