A late 18th century portrait miniature on ivory British, signed G.B Tyndale The oval portrait depicting a young girl, according to an inscription verso, believed to be Caroline Augusta Ripley, with curled brown hair held by a scarf, dressed in a white blouse and a vest, signed verso in ink '1796' and 'G.B Tyndale / No. 11 New Inn / London', (vertical crack through centre of ivory), within a later ebonised frame, (see department for image of signature), 11.5 cm high
