A niello snuff box, possibly Russian or Eastern European, late 19th century rectangular with cut corners, niello (worn) scenes of a male figure in front of houses on the lid and buildings surrounded by rockwork to the base, both scenes and the sides with engraved basketwork, gilt interior, the lid flange engraved 'Macintosh', 'to', 'T. Currie', Obscured mark to lid and letter 'K' to inside of base, marks not identified, height 1.25 cm, length 9.25 cm, depth 5 cm, weight 90gms.
