A Louis XVI brass mounted tortoisheshell Cartel bracket clock, with hour and half hour strike, the back plate signed 'J Gosselin, Paris'. The circular dial with panel led enamelled Roman numerals contained in a well shaped case with gilt metal mounts and tracery surmounted by a figural finial of the Archangel Gabriel. The bracket similarly decorated with applied mask head and inlaid scrolled radiating panel s 86 cm wide, 40 cm deep, 87 cm high,
