A large and impressive 19th century French patinated and gilt bronze mantel clock, with spherical dial and annular chapter rings, the 6.5 inch diameter globe with gilt Roman and Arabic numerals on twin rotating chapter rings on a blue enamelled ground, set on a pedestal flanked by two bronze figures of Chronos and an attendant, all on a stepped variegated rouge marble and gilt base, the movement set within the base of the clock and wound through recessed winding squares, the left concealed by a hinged harp, the right now open (covering mount missing), 82 cm x 75 cm
