An Australian cedar reclining armchair, mid 19th century, the tall shaped back with scroll arms, black upholstery, and lappet-carved legs. Height 106 cm;. Provenance: private Collector; Sotheby's, the Hannon collection of early Australian Colonial furniture, 14 November 1999, lot 842. Thomas young and then by descent. Thomas young was the fifth lawyer to be entered into the roll of the Supreme court in Hobart Town in 1824.
