A George III silver tankard jug, probably Isaac Cookson, Newcastle, 1760, of tapering baluster form with reeded girdle, the double scroll handle with key hole shaped thumbpiece, the domed lid and the sides later embossed with flowers and foliage, engraved to lip 'Samuel Martin from his sincere friend R. T. W. Taylor 18th August 1832', reeded and engraved foot, 960gms, 19 cm high
