A sterling silver commemorative chalice, depicting an Australian scene, by Daniel Houle and Charles Houle, London, 1861, of flared globular form, with central cartouche bearing an inscription 'Presented to John Kelly Esq. Police Magistrate by the Police of Deniliquin Moulamein and Moama as a Token of Respect for Him February 28th 1862' elaborately decorated with Australian native animals and stockmen and their horses supported on circular foot decorated with small flower sprigs, in a fitted leather case retailed by 'Brush and Macdonnell Melbourne', 505gms.
