1962 Commonwealth Games in Perth, bronze winner's medal, with chain, '1962 VII British Empire and Commonwealth Games/ Perth/ Western Australia', engraved on reverse 'Fencing/ Sabre/ individual/ J.Andru/ Canada', 58 mm diameter. Very attractive and scarce. (John Andru (born 1933 in Toronto) represented Canada in the 1964 Tokyo and the 1968 Mexico city Olympic Games. He represented Canada and won bronze twice in the pan-American games (1959 and 1967). In 1965 he was awarded the Syl Apps Award. Canadian Olympic hall of Fame inductee 1976.)
