A rare Mandarin palette 'European subject' punch bowl, Qing Dynasty, 18th century, decorated with four traders seated at a table beside turreted buildings on a quayside with a fleet at anchor in the bay, and a semi-clad boy approaching a couple tending a cow in a similar setting with a fleet's masts in the distance, in two panels within underglaze-blue floral scroll borders and interspersed with iron-red landscape vignettes and flowers; together with a floral decorated Chinese Imari dish, (2), 29.
