Louis Hurt Ra, Highland Cattle, Lochgoilhead, oil on canvas; signed 'L. Hurt' lower right; 31 x 47 cm. Louis Hurt was born in Ashbourne Derbyshire in 1856. A prolific painter predominately painted Highland cattle grazing in the wild northern Highlands. He was a member of the Royal Academy in London and his works can be found in several public collections including the Manchester City Art Gallery and Reading City Art Gallery
