An Annamese brown-glazed jar, 15th/16th century, freely incised with a continuous floral scroll of alternating lotus and peony blooms between foliate scrolls and a band of lappets, set with four rope twist lug handles around the waisted mouth, the glaze stopping just short of the concave base, 36.5 cm; Provenance: Omuta Ltd., Shatin, 1979; Private collection, Melbourne.
