A fine and rare Colonial Cedar and NSW rosewood secretaire chest of Egyptian influence Australian, circa 1835, -45126 x 122 x 55 cm, with a pull out bureau fitted with a writing drawer and other small drawers faced in myrtle, lined in huon pine and with a detail surround in pure ebony. The drawers are cock-beaded in rosewood and flanked by canted corners with acanthus sprays to the top terminal, long tapered flat pilasters with Rosewood crossbanding and tapered rosewood feet with carved lambs tongue adornment.
