A Chinese Gold Thread & Silk Altar Cloth, c.19th century Black background, heavily worked gold thread figures, two on horseback and two standing with tasseled decoration suspended from ears and hand painted silk faces. Above section of birds and flowers and all enclosed within geometric designed pattern. Height 86 cm. Width 96 cm.
