Marquesas Island Double Tiki Form Stone Carved Fishing God, robustly resting against one another with arms coming to rest on thighs. Faces express orthodox form with tongues extended and eyes widened, all seeing. Decorative head adornment expressed with geometric carving to the side of each temple. Suspension hole in well balanced position, centering the sculpture. Basalt with earthened patina. Marquesas Islands.Provenance: Private New Zealand collection.
