A stunning panelled chair, circa 1660, differing from a wainscot chair only in the panelled base and front support construction, the back features strap work carving above a winged cherubic head, popular at the time of Charles 11. Afurther vigorously carved panel displays a geometric foliate design, the arms relief carved externally with lotus flowers, with a solid seat above arcaded panels to both front and sides, these panels with both guilloche and foliate brackets on a stretcher base, height 136 cm
