A fine Empire revival mahogany and gilt bronze pedestal desk, French, circa 1890 the rectangular top with tooled black leather insert above pull out writing slides to either end, a long central drawer flanked by two short drawers, above two conforming pedestals each with three drawers between Egyptian caryatids with a panelled central section, on plinth bases, decorated overall with classical motifs, 171 cm wide, 90 cm deep, 76 cm high
