A double barrelled percussion muzzle loading shotgun by Joseph Smith, barrel address indistinct, engraved locks, hammers and trigger guard etc., the barrels with double gold line at breech. Barrels appear to have been shortened to 26', the rib is detaching, black powder proofs for 13 bore. Overall in poor condition, contained in an oak dehandled brass cornered shotgun case of the period, one end missing from general distress and partitions missing or at fault including a three piece cleaning rod and extractor tip plus a contemporary brass and copper shotgun powder flask in as found condition
