A fine suite of Louis XVI mahogany armchairs, by Georges Jacob, maitre in 1765 comprising a pair of bergeres and four fauteuils, the rectangular backs with beaded and shutter carved frames surmounted by lobed finials and flanked by columns, the arms with overlapping leaf carved baluster supports, the bowed seats on plain turned tapered legs with lobed and lambrequin carved collars, each chair stamped G.Jacob
