A good mid 19th century mahogany timepiece, Vulliamy, London, number 1569, the break arched case with overhanging ogee-moulded cornice over reeded sides terminating in carved volutes to a stepped moulded base, the signed and numbered silvered Roman dial with typical hands, set within a silvered sight ring, the substantial chain fusee movement secured on to the seat board via three heavy brass screws, with Vulliamy type escapement, signed and numbered on the backplate. Height 57 cm
