An impressive and important Victorian silver equestrian group of an Indian spearing a buffalo, by Charles Frederick Hancocks, London 1872, the bronze base with facsimile signature 'R. Monti' and dated, 1872, depicting a Plains Indian wearing feathered headdress, pelt and buckskin trousers upon a stallion at full stride, spearing the charging buffalo in the shoulder, the bronze rectangular base applied with bushes.
